Tried to get the rom to work but I don't understand how to load it. I tried several things but the game won't run.
Hi there. Run the game with WinUAE emulator, choose Amigae 1200 configuration, and make sure WinUAE is not running in NTSC mode. That should work! :)
Oh capital it works now, took a bit of elbow grease but it works. Killer game btw : )
Great game, but I want a printable label for my disk... any chance of that?
Good idea. We will look into that :)
Hi. Just recieved the physical Clucks edition - very nice. Great box, nice t-shirt and very polished presentation of the game. I fired it up from floppy on my A1200 with blizzard 1230 IV installed and the game works, but somehow I cant view chareter selection screen (black screen) and same with instruction screen. I tried to run Relokick 1.3 and then everything worked just fine. I then finished the whole game in easy mode without any issues. Only complaint/wish is that when going to next room the tile fading and creating next room is a bit slow (I know we talk about seconds) but it really slows down the experience and makes the game feel more slow than it needs to. I´ve completed the C64 rogue64 many times and like the pace going back and forth between rooms is perfect. I would also love to see just a bit more variation of monsters. Soundwise I miss some soundeffects on moving the hero and maybe some waterdripping effect and cave sounds to add to the experience. Other then that what a game. I really like it. You somehow manage to give the heroes character and dept and the graphics and soundtrack is amazing. Thank you for doing this.
Thank you for the kind words!
The reason the room switching takes a bit of time is because it is hiding the fat that we are unpacking lots of graphics between each room and then rebuilding the room. Especially on the A500 it takes a while.
Hi!
As someone who purchased the game after the official release, how do I get access to updates?
At the time I didn't create an account.
Hello, a few weeks ago you promised us an lha file for our little emulators, is it still possible?
Thanks
Yes. Sorry. We have been working on an update that will be uploaded here in mid February, with lha-files, some bug fixes and a couple of extra features. 😊
Perfect, thanks for your reply.
Wow good news. Thanks to still working on the game !
Thanks for this great Amiga game :)
I finished the easy and medium mode (Version 1.2 - 05/11/2024).
So now I had some suggestions, for instance to increase the convenience of the game a bit, maybe someone also found it useful.
1) Currently when leaving a secret room, it will be shown as a 'cave entry' with glowing light on the main screen which is helpful to better find the entry when need to go back again.
But on the mini map this secret room will not be marked in a special way, this can be helpful for later backtracking and as a note for the player that the secret room was already discovered (there is only one secret room per level, right?).
2) Maybe the mini map should show potions and/or monster symbols for already revealed rooms so it's easier for later backtracking or bypass rooms etc.
3) Randomly teleporting is not a feature what I often choose because when teleporting to the wrong place the game could be over and this is not something you want to risk especially in the later levels.
But maybe for a modified teleporting feature the user can select a target field to teleport, for example in a range of 5 fields around the player.
4) Maybe it should be possible for the user to choose between two potions before start the game, one strong (Freeze Time, Clear The Room, ...) and/or one normal potion ('Reveal All', 'Teleport', 'Strong Ale', ...) because otherwise when randomly get only two normal potions then users tend to restart the game to get better potions.
5) A high score table including various statistics storable on disk.
6) A seed feature to replay exact the same game :)
7) Is there a version number (and/or date) shown somewhere in the game? Useful for bug reports. Currently only the readme.txt file contains a version number and date.
8) Maybe also the mini map should have the same rotation than the main screen.
Thank you! We are working on an update that will make the teleport a little more useful, and adding a highscore screen with loading and saving. Check out SoMe channels for updates! 😊
This game really put me in the Christmas spirit! I've been playing this much for a while now! Graphics 5/5, Sound 5/5, Playability 5/5, Final result 5/5. Very atmospheric! Will there be a mission disc?
Thank you! Lovely to see that you completed the game! We will post an update to the game here in the near future.
Regarding a mission disk, we are considering something like that for later on. 😊
Thanks
But ... Still have blood bug
and still don't have scoring ...
But thanks, it's still a good game ;)
Amazing, thank you so much!
I never had a problem with the game on the A500mini before, nevertheless I will update.
