Fantastic game! I’ve been playing the game directly from hard disk on Atari Falcon 030 (14 MB RAM, 68030 + 68882, TOS 4.04) and and so far it seems to work very well.. Congratulations and thanks for the release!
Really enjoying the game, but my save game keeps being overwritten, which looks like a bug. I'm playing from GEM/TOS using the Hatari emulator on Mac.
I collect the fish, quit the game and exit the emulator. Then the first time I restart the "continue game" option is present and I can carry on, but if I restart again (without collecting a new fish) the option to continue is absent. The carndata.bin save file seems to have been updated (modification time changed). Backing up the save file is a work around.
Could you investigate?
Actually I think this is just how it's supposed to work because the CPC version of the first game behaves the same way. You can only respawn once after dying or quitting. Bit odd by todays standards, but I guess it's not really a save game, more of a second chance. It might be worth explaining this in the manual though!!!
I have an issue where the characters do not appear when I start a game, the level loads and the music is playing but Head is not there! Getting it on my STe and Mega 2 playing from floppy.
EDIT: I've found it's actually that it takes ages (like a couple of minutes) for the character to appear after first loading the game. It sits there with the level loaded (minus Head or Hells) then a couple of minutes later they appear and I can start playing.
Hello, is the game compatible with pseudo-hard drive like Ultra-Satan ?
No idea - Unfortunately we can't test the game on every hardware configuration or emulator.
Hello, will a future update be STE enhanced ? Using Jagpad is a great idea.
About Amiga release, could you consider a CD release CDTV/CD32 compatible ? Some commercial games were CD32/CDTV compatible like Prehistorik or Battlestorm.
Thanks for your feedback - we'll definitely consider your suggestions!
As the STE is supported already; is it possible for you to add Jagpad support? It will be much nicer to play R2B without having to reach for the keyboard all the time :) The Jagpad have enough buttons to make a great QoL update to R2B gameplay.
Thanks for your feedback - we'll definitely consider it!
Is there any plan for a manual for the digital version?
Yes, when the boxed versions come out we'll add the PDF to the download package.
